Genene Morris

Genene Morris is a former journalist who brings extensive writing experience to her role at Savoy Life and its parent company, Red Cell Partners. She started her career as a correspondent for the Journal Inquirer in Manchester, CT, before taking a position as a reporter at the Jersey Journal, in Jersey City, NJ. Mrs. Morris left the news profession to work for the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety where she spent more than 10 years of her career, which included stints as Director of Communications for the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs and as a spokesperson for the Office of the New Jersey Attorney General. She later joined UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School (now Rutgers New Jersey Medical School) as its Director of Marketing and Communications. In recent years, she has worked as a freelance writer, specializing in crafting feature and profile stories.

Mrs. Morris holds an MS in Communications from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University where she received the Outstanding Achievement in Public Relations Award and a BA in Journalism from the University of Connecticut.
